PJ Roofing is a family run roofing company with operations in South East Queensland, Wide Bay and the Burnett regions. PJ Roofing's head office is in Hillcrest, Brisbane.
The pevious PJ Roofing website was a liability. Important site navigation menus were Flash and much confusion existed as to what products and services applied to each region. Feedback from customers who used the site was not good and PJ Roofing wanted a rebuild from the ground up.

Hyperactive Designs built the current site with search engine optimisation and usability as the primary objectives. Our goals were to dominate the search engine results for roofing searches in Wide Bay, get PJ Roofing returning in Brisbane based searches, and finally to give clear indications to visitors as to which region each webpage applies to. Birubi Art is an Australia wide wholesale supplier of Aboriginal and Torres Straight Island souvenirs. To help facilitate the wholesale ordering process and to increase exposure of the product line, Birubi Art wanted a simple product gallery for current and potential customers to refer to.
Birubi Art has also branched out into Aboriginal painting sales from their new gallery in Brisbane. Some of the inventory within the gallery is also featured on the website as items for sale.

Dirt Cheap CD's is an Australia Wide Company specializing in the sales of CDs, DVDs and Memorabilia. We were approached by Dirt Cheap for a proposal to upgrade their website and integration with internal systems.
This project had more than its fair share of challenging aspects: -
- Inventory with items in the tens of thousands with miltiple levels of categorisation
- Over 10gigs in image assets for products
- A huge volume of customer and order records; understandable for a leading Australian retial site for the industry
- A high volume of traffic that pounds the site 24/7 making downtime not an option
The original website was developed back in 2003. Retail websites have come a long way since then and online shoppers have become savvy with many more features than the old school shopping cart. Dirt Cheap wanted Web 2.0 features integrated into the new system; primarily to engage the customers via user reviews, search tags, ratings e.t.c.
